Start Indoors (Highly Recommended for best results):
- Fill seed trays with moist, well-draining, fine-textured, sandy seed-starting mix.
- Gently sprinkle seeds onto the surface of the soil. Do not cover them.
- Place the tray in a warm area (70–75°F) with bright, indirect light. Keep the soil evenly moist by misting from above or bottom-watering.
- Seedlings emerge in 7–14 days. Provide strong, direct sunlight immediately to prevent leggy growth.
- After 6–8 weeks, when the seedlings have several sets of true leaves, gradually harden them off outdoors over 5–7 days before transplanting them into the garden or containers.
